Store mail

In some situations it can be useful to store mail (and / or packages) for a short or longer period and have it forwarded on demand. For example, when you are moving, or when you are traveling for a long time and / or are not staying at a fixed location.

How does it work?

As soon as we receive mail for you, you will receive a message from us and we will store the mail for as long as you want. As soon as you want to receive the mail, you indicate this in the customer portal. We will send the mail collected in a large envelope to the address you provided. Simple and flexible!

  • Mail will be stored as long as you wish

  • Costs for storing mail are € 0,05 per day per item (first 30 days are FREE)

  • Receiving and storing packages is done via PriParcel. The first 30 days are free and then you pay an amount per package per day. Check the PriParcel website for more info.

What are the costs?

  • The fixed costs for a Postbox are only € 5,00 per month.
  • The cost of storing mail is only € 0,05 per postal item per day. No storage costs will be charged for the first 30 days When you have your mail forwarded, the normal rates for mail forwarding apply.

The advantages

  • So if there is no mail for you, nothing will be stores and no costs will be charged.
  • To prevent unnecessary storage costs, we will send you a weekly reminder that we store mail for you.
  • Important to know… we only charge costs for storing mail in case you use the forwarding option – forward on demand. If you have set your Postbox as an example to 1 x per 2 weeks forwarding, then no costs will be charged to store mail.

What is the maximum time limit to store mail?2019-07-13T12:16:25+01:00

There is no maximum time limit. We keep the mail as short or as long as you want. The moment we receive mail for you, we will send a message. We also send a reminder every week to prevent you from forgetting the mail and thereby incurring unnecessary costs. As soon as you want to receive the mail, you can indicate this via the inbox in the customer portal. We will then send the mail to the postal address on the date indicated by you.

Are costs charged for storing mail?2020-01-12T12:46:07+01:00

If you want us to keep the mail for you for longer than 14 days, a few cents will be charged per item. This is done in large vaults so that we are sure that your mail has been stored securely.

My setting is forwarding once a month – are there any storage costs charged?2019-07-13T12:17:45+01:00

Storage costs are only charged if you have ‘forward on demand’ as your primary setting. So no, if you have forwarding with a certain frequency, no storage costs will be charged.

Can I change my ‘forwarding on request’ setting to scanning?2019-07-10T15:45:00+01:00

Yes, that is possible. It is true that the mail that has already been entered can only be forwarded. If you change the setting from forwarding to scanning, this will start the next day and only applies to new mail. More information about different scanning options you can find here.

Can I have my stored mail destroyed or scanned?2019-07-10T16:05:29+01:00

Unfortunately this is not possible. Mail entered with a specific setting cannot be changed during the process. So we can only process this mail by forwarding it. You can specify a date via the inbox in the customer portal.
